Adam Czerniawski was a Polish poet, prose-writer and translator of Polish literature and philosophy into English.
He was born in Warsaw in 1934. He left Poland in 1941 and lived in the Middle East until 1947 when he arrived in England. He spent the last years of his life in Wales, where he died in 2024.
He studied literature and philosophy at the Universities of London, Sussex and Oxford.
